Promoting Community Development Through ICT's

In alliance with the IBM International Foundation and IBM Colombia, Give To Colombia developed a project in Villas de San Pablo in Barranquilla, Colombia where the main objective was to create an Information Technology and Citizen's Rights School (ITCRS) that would promote digital literacy in vulnreable communities through two phases: (1) the construction of technological center and (2) the creation of an academic & entrepreneurship program that will help the surrounding community.
In this latter phase, ITCRS will use ICT tools to strenghen the educational processes of the community by providing teachers with training and an adapted curriculum so their students will also benefit, as well as to empower community members and budding entrepreneurs through training and technical support.
