Event held in Miami

For the first time, six Colombian foundations organized an event in Miami, in which they raised close to one million dollars to carry out social works in Colombia. These organizations are Give to Colombia, led by Ángela María Tafur and Orlando Ayala; Mi Sangre, by Juanes; Formula Sonrisas, by Juan Pablo Montoya and Connie Freydell; Colombianitos, by Ángela Patricia Janiot; United for Colombia, by Gabriela Febres-Cordero, and Genesis, by Carolina Ezquenazi. Ángela Tafur is a lawyer with a specialization in international law from Cornell University.

Juanes, a Colombian musician, created Mi Sangre to help children. Nascar driver Montoya and his wife, Connie Freydell, have had their foundation for three years. CNN journalist Ángela Janiot created Colombianitos a decade ago. Venezuelan Gabriela Febres-Cordero is in love with Colombia. Finally, Carolina Ezquenazi is a journalist and has worked in different countries.
